Gardai rush to scene of incident in north Dublin neighbourhood after reports of 'shots fired'

Gardai have rushed to the scene of an 'ongoing incident' in Ballymun, north Dublin after reports of shots fired in the area.

The incident is believed to have happened the Shangan Park area of Ballymun, at approximately 10:30PM on Friday evening.

A spokeswoman for An Garda Siochana confirmed to Dublin Live that the incident is ongoing. She said: "Gardaí at scene of an ongoing incident in Ballymun at this time.

"No confirmation of shots fired, as this is ongoing, no further details."
