Gardai rush to scene of 'incident' at Dublin hotel on busy city centre street

Gardai in Dublin are currently attending an incident at a hotel in the city centre.

There were reports earlier this morning that the Jurys hotel on Parnell Street had been cordoned off by officers.

Gardaí have confirmed to the Irish Mirror that an "incident" is currently ongoing.

There is currently no further detail available.

A Garda spokesperson told the Irish Mirror: "Gardaí attended the scene of an incident at a premises on Parnell Street this morning, Tuesday 24th August 2021 at approximately 9.30am.

"Gardaí received a call raising concern for the welfare of a man. The area was cordoned off and a Garda negotiator liaised with the man. The incident was resolved at approximately 11.30am.

"Due to the nature of this incident, no further information is being made available."
