Gardai rushed to the scene of a collision this afternoon on the N25 road in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford.
Officers remain at the scene, but “no serious injuries have been reported at this time,” according to a spokesperson.
There are diversions in place on the national primary road forming the route from Cork to Rosslare Europort via Waterford City, with road users being sent through Garranbane for now.
A traffic alert was issued on the Garda Traffic Twitter confirming the incident, which said: “Diversions are currently in place on the N25 outside Dungarvan, Co.Waterford.
“Traffic is being diverted into Garranbane for the time being.”
The public is warned to consider the diversions on any journeys they may be taking today along this route, as a timeframe for the reopening of the road has not yet been determined.
