A teenager has been rushed to hospital after a horror stabbing in Co Louth.
The incident happened in a residential area near the town of Dundalk on Tuesday.
Gardai rushed to the scene shortly after midnight where they found a man in his late teens with "apparent stab wounds".
The teen was rushed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital hospital in Drogheda. His injuries are believed to be non life threatening.
And officers are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward as their investigations continue.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are investigating an incident of assault that occurred in a residential area of Dundalk, Co. Louth shortly after midnight, today Tuesday 20th July 2021.

"A male, aged in his late teens, was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda for treatment to apparent stab wounds. His injuries are non life threatening.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Dundalk Garda Station (042) 938 8400 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111. Investigations are ongoing."
