Gardai rush to scene as teenage boy hospitalised after 'emergency' incident in Ardee, Co Louth

A teenager was hospitalised after an incident in Co Louth on Thursday night.

Gardai and emergency services raced to the scene in the Ardee area at around 7.10pm.

Officers said that a male was brought to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for treatment.

Gardai said they had experienced a "non-life threatening medical emergency".

Local radio station LMFM reports that the male involved in the incident was a teenage boy.

The station adds that an investigation is currently underway.

A garda spokesman said; "Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of an incident that occurred in Ardee, Co Louth at approximately 7:10pm on Thursday, 9th September 2021.

"A male was conveyed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for treatment following a non-life threatening medical emergency."
