Gardai rush to scene after gunman fires at car in broad daylight in West Dublin

A gunman is on the run from gardai after shots were fired at a car in West Dublin this morning.

The incident happened on Whitechapel road in Clonsilla with the shooter fleeing the area.

Cyclist hospitalised following serious assault by group of men armed with weapons who ran him over in Kilbarrack

Gardai rushed to the house and are currently at the scene investigating.

There are no reports of serious damage or any injuries.

A Garda Spokesperson said: "Gardaí are currently at the scene of an incident in Clonsilla. Reports of shots fired at a house on the Whitechapel Rd, Clonsilla D15 at approximately 11.45 am, Monday 22nd April 2019. No injuries reported."
