Gardai rush to busy Dublin pub after 'attack' as punters enjoy drinks

Gardai were called to a South Dublin pub on Friday night after an attack while punters were still inside.

A fire began inside the pub shortly after midnight with officers rushing to the scene.

Nobody was injured in the incident but damage has been done to the public house.

Gardai confirmed they are investigating the incident but no arrests have been made at this stage.

A garda spokesperson said: " Gardaí are investigating an incident of criminal damage by fire at a licenced premises in Loughlinstown, Dublin shortly after midnight this morning Saturday 18 th June, 2022.

"Damage was done to the property and investigations ongoing."
