Hardworking community gardai returned a stolen passport to a German tourist - just in time for his flight home.
The unfortunate tourist's cash-filled wallet and passport was robbed from him in a shop on Westmoreland Street in Dublin city centre on Sunday.
He was due to fly back to Germany at 1pm on Sunday and would have been stranded if gardai had not tracked down the thief and recovered the wallet.
A post shared on the official An Garda Siochana Facebook page said: "Community Garda from Pearse Street immediately identified the suspect from CCTV footage and he was arrested nearby.
