Gardai have renewed their appeal for witnesses or information following a sex assault on a woman in Cork.
The incident occurred in the Connolly Rd / Vicars Rd area of Ballyphehane, Cork, in the early hours of August 24.
A woman in her 20s was walking home from a house party along Connolly Road in the early hours of that Saturday morning when the attacker knocked her to the ground, Cork Beo reports.
Investigators are now renewing their appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
They are particularly interested in speaking to a man who made an anonymous call about the incident.
A Garda spokesperson has said;"We are renewing our appeal for anyone with information to come forward".
"Gardaí are particularly interested in speaking to a man who made an anonymous phone call to Togher Garda Station in relation to the incident.
"Gardaí are appealing for this man or anyone who may have information to contact Togher Garda Station on 021 494712 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111."
Investigations are ongoing into the incident.
