Gardai have released pictures of their €1 million haul from tonight's Criminal Assets Bureau searches, following on from this morning’s raids.
A further €300,000 in cash has been seized - bringing the total seized today to a total of €1,035,093.
In addition, four cars and a number of other high-value items were seized.
Tonight’s additional raids were in the Dublin area, and all the CAB raids today were intelligence led and were "targeting foreign nationals involved in the laundering of the proceeds of crime, accumulated by Irish-based organised crime groups".
A total of 13 sites were searched across the day in total.
"Seven people were arrested for money laundering offences contrary to Section 7 of the Criminal Justice Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Act, 2010 and are currently detained at Garda Stations across the Dublin Region," Gardai confirmed.
"This operation marks a significant development in the Criminal Assets Bureau’s ongoing investigation into a criminal network involved in the laundering of funds for a number of national and international organised crime groups."
Earlier today we reported how seven people were arrested following searches across Dublin and Wicklow.
Raids were carried out on eleven premises across the two counties - including a popular Crumlin takeaway - in an operation targeting money laundering.
Among items seized in the earlier raids were €449,000 in cash, vehicles and high value items with a further €261,000 frozen in bank accounts.
