Gardai release description of pervert who sexually attacked young woman in broad daylight near Dublin college

Gardai have released a detailed description of a pervert who sexually attacked a young woman in broad daylight near a Dublin college.

Officers at Bridewell Garda Station have revealed information on the suspect they are hunting down for the life-changing assault that took place on 19 November.

The victim was walking home from a cafe at Manor Place in Stoneybatter at around 4:30pm when she was set upon by her attacker.

She was targeted by the man as she walked along Kirwan Street, turned left onto Grangegorman Lower and passed the main entrance of the DIT campus.

The vile creep waited for the woman to pass the campus entrance before crossing the road and sexually assaulting her near the junction with Rathdown Road and fleeing in the same direction.

The wanted sex attacker is described as being 5'10", in his 20s and of thin build with black hair.

During the horrific assault, he was wearing a white hoodie, black trousers and white runners with thick heels.

Gardai have also issued a four-point appeal in the hope of gaining witnesses who may have been in the area around the time of the attack.

These are:

  • Anyone in the vicinity of Grangegorman either prior to or during the assault, (4pm to 4.45pm).
  • Did you see a man in the vicinity matching the description?
  • The DIT Campus would have been busy and builders were working nearby - were you one of them
  • Did you drive the route at the relevant times?

A Garda spokesman said: "Gardaí at the Bridewell Garda Station are investigating a sexual assault that occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday the 19 November.
