Gardai recover whopping haul of stolen cosmetics worth over €8,000 from house in Crumlin

Thieves were left red-faced after gardai recovered stolen cosmetics worth in excess of €8,000.

Gardai in Santry received a report that a large quantity of cosmetics had been taken from a Dublin pharmacy, including suncream, high-end makeup and skincare.

Investigating officers, assisted by the Divisional Search Team and Ballymun Drugs Unit carried out a search of a house in the Crumlin area.

They recovered a staggering amount of stolen cosmetics, including expensive brands such as Benefit, No. 7, Piz Buin and Vichy, Dublin Live reports.

The majority of the products were cosmetics from the No.7 and Vichy range along with fake eyelashes, toothpaste, body wash and shampoo.

Twitter users were stunned by a photo of the huge haul and begged gardai to "do a giveaway".

Gardai confirmed that two people were arrested and charged with the initial theft of the products and further enquiries are ongoing.
