Gardai race to Dublin Airport after truck driver has 'medical trauma' and crashes into vehicles

Gardai are currently attending the scene of a serious road traffic incident at Dublin Airport.

At around 7.20pm on Wednesday, a lorry struck a number of vehicles outside Terminal One and on the departure road of the airport.

A number of cars were damaged and gardai say that a number of people were injured during the incident.

Motorists are advised to avoid the Dublin Airport complex where possible due to road closures as gardai conduct a technical examination of the scene.

It is believed the driver of the truck was having a medical emergency, with officers treating the incident as such at this time.
