A West Dublin car dealership is facing some hefty payments after gardai slapped them with fines saying "a public road is not a showroom".
Gardai have publicly shamed a business owner as well as impounded a number of vehicles for being left 'on display' out on a footpath.
Taking to Twitter, they said the owner will have to pay a fixed charge for each car, as well as the costs of impounding them and the storage fee.
They said: "Operation Sign-Off West Dublin – A public road is not a showroom! Vehicles parked for sale in a public place, causing a danger to other road users. Fixed charge notices issued and all impounded with owner liable for towing and storage fee."
