Gardai probe launched after man receives stab wounds following incident in west Dublin

Emergency services are at the scene of a stabbing incident in west Dublin.

According to gardai, one man received several stab wounds in the incident which occurred at around 6pm near Ashmount, Mulhuddart, Dublin 15.

The man was brought to Connolly Hospital where he is understood to be in a serious condition.

In a statement, gardai said: 'Gardaí at Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 are investigating a stabbing incident which occurred at Ashmount, Mulhuddart, Dublin 15 at approximately 6pm, Saturday June 15th 2019.

"A male (age unknown) received stab wounds, he has been removed to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.

"No arrests have been made. The scene is preserved pending a Garda Technical Examination.

"Investigations are continuing."
