Gardai praised for act of kindness on M50 after helping girls coming from Dublin Airport as car breaks down

Four Offaly girls were left counting their blessings on Tuesday night when two Dublin gardai came to their rescue after their car broke down on the M50.

The fab four were on their way back from Dublin Airport when their car gave way just as it was getting dark.

Two Clondalkin-based gardai, Tom and Ross, responded to the girl's distress call and brought them to safety on the motorway before getting them on their way.

Sharon Kelly who was one of the occupants of the car said: "Thanks so much to the gardaí, Tom and Ross from Clondalkin Garda Station who saved us four stranded Offaly gals off the M50."

One person commented: "You were blessed it was on your way home from the airport and not to it."

Another joked that it was "Offaly nice of the gardai to stop" and help the young ladies out.
