Gardai on the hunt for attacker after young girl hospitalised following horrific Dublin assault

Gardai have launched a manhunt after a young girl ended up in hospital after an assault over the weekend.

The shocking incident took place in the Clondalkin area at around 4pm on Saturday.

The young child was rushed to Tallaght hospital for treatment for her injuries.

Her attacker remains at large.

A garda spokesperson told Dublin Live: "Gardaí are investigating an incident of assault that occurred on the 22 May at 3.30pm in Clondalkin.

"A female youth was assaulted and suffered injuries and they were taken to Tallaght Hospital for treatment."

The spokesperson added: "No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing."
