A learner driver was nabbed behind the wheel of a van which hasn't been taxed in 10 years.
Gardai made the discovery while on patrol in Cashel, Co Tipperary, on Tuesday morning.
Officers used the Mobility App to find out that the vehicle the unaccompanied motorist was driving had never been taxed.
The van has been impounded. Gardai say court proceedings will follow.
A spokesman said: "Gardaí stopped and impounded this van in Cashel this morning after our #MobilityApp indicated that it had never been taxed (10 years).
"The driver was a learner and driving unaccompanied. Discs displayed were from another vehicle. Court to follow."
