A man is in custody at Galway Garda station after a major drugs bust in the city on Friday evening.
Officers attached to the Garda Divisional Drugs unit called to a house on the Newcastle Road as part of a search operation.
During the search operation Gardaí discovered and seized cocaine with an approximate value of €140,000.
On top of that, over €2,800 in cash has also been seized by officers.
A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested at the scene.
He is currently being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice, Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
