Revenue seized €1.8 million worth of cannabis after stopping a van in Co Cork.
The find was made in Ringaskiddy Ferry Terminal on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers found a staggering 90kg of herbal cannabis after stopping a Polish registered van that had arrived from Roscoff in France.
A total of 37 separate packages of herbal cannabis were subsequently found deeply concealed within panels of the van.
The driver of the van, a Polish man in his twenties, was detained and subsequently arrested by An Garda Siochana.
A Revenue spokesman said that investigations are ongoing.

They added: "These seizures are part of Revenues ongoing operations targeting the importation of illegal drugs. If businesses or members of the public have any information regarding smuggling, they can contact Revenue in confidence on Confidential Phone Number 1800 295 295."
While a garda spokesman added: "Gardaí have arrested a man in his 20s, following a seizure of €1.8 million worth of cannabis herb, in Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork by Revenue’s Custom Service today, Tuesday March 9.
"The male is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Togher Garda station. He can be held for up to seven days.
"Investigations are ongoing."
