Gardai looking to reunite expensive sunglasses and coins with owner after car thief nabbed

Gardai are looking to reunite a pair of expensive sunglasses and coins with their owner after a car thief was nabbed in Meath.

The man was lifted on December 30 in the Silverlawn area of Navan and was found to be in possession of a pair of black Timerbald sunglasses and a large quantity of coins.

The man gave no explanation to officers as to where the items had come from.

Gardai in Navan believe the items were potentially nicked from a parked car on the nearby Ratholdren Road.

They said: "Navan gardai recovering a pair of sunglasses on December 30, when a person was searched in Silverlawn estate in Navan.

He was found to be in possession of black Timberland sunglasses and also a large quantity of coins.

"He had no explanation as to where these items had come from.

"It is believed to have been stolen from a vehicle in the Ratholdren Road area.

"If you had a pair of Timberland sunglasses stolen and your car broken into please contact contact the Gardai in Navan on 0469021445."
