Gardai looking for wannabe thief after pitiful hold-up attempt in Bray

A wannabe thief might want to consider a new career after failing miserably at an attempted robbery in Bray.

Gardai are on the hunt after a man tried to storm a bookies on Vevay Road before making a getaway last Friday morning.

Unfortunately for the crook, staff held strong and held on to the loot - leaving him fleeing empty handed.

Cops are now on the hunt for the man with a spokesperson saying the investigation is ongoing.

They said: "Gardaí are investigating a robbery which occurred at approximately 11am on 5th April 2019.

"A man entered a premises on Vevay Road, Bray and demanded money. No money was handed over and the suspect left the scene.

"No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing."
