Gardai launch witness appeal following death of man on Liffey Boardwalk

Gardai have launched an appeal for witnesses following the death of a man on the Liffey Boardwalk earlier this month.

The body of the man, who was in his 30s, was discovered on Ormond Quay shortly before 6:30am on Friday, June 4.

Gardai said following the discovery of the man's body that the results of a post mortem would determine the course of their investigation.

This examination has since been carried out although gardai are not making the results available for operational reasons.

A garda spokesman appealed for anyone with any information in relation to the man's deaths to contact them.

He said: Gardai are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who was in the Ormond Quay and surrounding areas between 6pm on 03/06/2021 – 6.20am 04/06/2021.

"Anyone with information can contact Gardaí at Store Street on 01 666 8000 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111."
