Gardai launch investigation as woman 'raped' in Kenmare, Co Kerry

An investigation is underway after a woman was allegedly raped in Co Kerry last weekend.

The woman reported to gardai she was the victim of a rape in the early hours on Sunday morning.

Gardai investigating the alleged incident believed it happened in the Kenmare area at around 1am.

A spokesman told the Irish Mirror: "Gardaí are investigating an alleged rape of a female that is reported to have occurred on 6/10/19 at approximately 1am in the Kenmare area. Investigations are ongoing."
