Gardai launch investigation as shots fired through window of home in Drogheda, Co Louth

An investigation has been launched after shots were fired at a home in Drogheda, Co Louth.

A gunman allegedly opened fire at the house in Rathmullen Park at midnight on Tuesday.

It's understood bullets were fired through a front window of the house.

However, no was injured at the time of the shooting and it's believed no one was in the house at the time.

A garda spokeswoman told the Irish Mirror that an investigation into the alleged shooting has begun.

She added: "Shots were allegedly fired at the front of a house. No occupants were in the house at the time. No injuries were reported and investigations are ongoing.
