Gardai launch investigation as over 100 sheep 'stolen' from farm in Mountnugent, Co Meath

An investigation is underway after over 100 sheep were allegedly stolen from an Irish farm.

Gardai confirmed they are investigating the alleged incident at a farm in Mountnugent, Co Meath

It's believed the theft of the large number of animals occurred between Monday and Thursday.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to contact Kells Garda Station on 046 9240999. No arrests have been made.

A spokesman told the Irish Mirror: "Gardaí are investigating the suspected theft of a large amount of livestock from a farm in the Mountnugent area of County Meath.

"The suspected theft allegedly occurred between 10th June 2019 and 13th June 2019. No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing."
