A motorcyclist is in a critical condition at Cork University Hospital after a serious accident on Monday evening.
Sirens could be heard blaring around Glanmire, Co Cork after 5pm as emergency services rushed to attend the scene of the collision between a motorbike and a car in Ballinagoul.
Gardai have confirmed they are investigating the collision, which caused serious injuries to the motorcyclist, who was transported to CUH, Cork Beo reports.
The motorcyclist remains in a stable but critical condition and no arrests have been made.

A statement from An Garda Siochana to Cork Beo reads: "Gardai in Glanmire, attended a Road Traffic Collision between a Motorcycle and a car in the Ballinagoul area of Glanmire on Monday 19th August 2019 at approximately 17:18.
"Motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was taken to Cork University Hospital and is described as being in a stable but critical condition. No arrests have been made and Investigations are ongoing."
