Gardai launch investigation after 'shots fired' during late-night incident in Limerick

Gardaí have launched an investigation after shots were fired outside a house in Limerick in the early hours of the morning.

Shortly before 3.30am this morning, officers from the Roxboro Road station received a report from a member of the public that shots had been fired at the window of a house in Greenmount Avenue, Ballinacurra.

No person was injured during the early-morning incident.

Gardaí believe the suspect fled the scene on foot towards Childers Road

Officers are now looking for witnesses and anyone who may have information.

They are urging these people to contact Roxboro Road Garda Station on 061-214340, the Garda Confidential line on 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
