Gardai have launched an investigation after several people were found in a pub in Co Kildare.

The discovery was made during an inspection on Wednesday evening.

Officers said "a number of persons" were inside the licensed premises in the town of Clane.

A file is being prepared for the DPP over alleged breaches of Covid-19 regulations in the Health Act.
