Gardai launch investigation after man's body found at house in Co Donegal

Gardai have launched an investigation after a man's body was found at a house in Co Donegal.

The discovery was made in the Ballyshannon area of the county.

Officers rushed to the scene on Tuesday where they found the body of a man in his 60s at a "residential property" in the town.

Gardai confirmed that foul play has been ruled out following a post mortem.

However investigations are ongoing as a file has been sent to the Coroner.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí in Ballyshannon attended an incident where the body of a man (60s) was discovered at a residential property in Ballyshannon on Tuesday 26th October, 2021.

"Following a post-mortem examination investigating Gardaí have ruled out foul play in the case. A file will now be sent to the Coroner.

"Investigations ongoing."
