Gardai launch investigation after building set on fire during burglary in Dublin

An investigation has been launched following a fire at Molesworth Street in Dublin city centre last night in which a man was left seriously injured.

Gardai were called to the Grand Lodge of Freemasons on Molesworth Street shortly after 5pm.

Emergency services attended the scene and the blaze was brought under control.

A man in his 30s was injured during the incident and was brought to St James Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Gardaí are appealing to any members of the public who may have witnessed this incident or who can assist Gardaí to contact them.

Gardaí are also appealing to any road users who were in these areas at these times who have camera footage including dash-cam to make this footage available to Gardaí.
