Gardai launch investigation after body of young man found in Cork city

Gardai are investigating after a man was found dead in Cork City Centre on Thursday morning.

The discovery was made on Horgan's Quay close to Kent Railway station yesterday morning at 8am.

The man is believed to have been rough sleeping in the area - CorkBeo reports.

A Garda spokesperson said; "Gardaí are investigating the sudden death of a man, aged in his 30s, that occurred at Horgan Quay, Cork City yesterday morning around 8am."

"A file will be prepared for the Coroner."
