Gardai are hunting down the masked troll who flung her drink in the Tanaiste's face while he was talking to a TV reporter earlier today.
Shocking footage shows the unidentified woman hurl the contents of her drink carrier directly in Leo Varadkar's face as he is being interviewed in front of television cameras.
The cowardly troll then turns and runs as the Castleknock TD wipes the liquid from his face.
A garda spokesman confirmed that officers are looking into the incident that happened as the former Taoiseach was being filmed at Merrion Square outside the Dail.
A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardaí are investigating an incident that occurred in Merrion Square today, 18/09/2020, at approximately 3pm. Investigations are ongoing."
The county is on tenterhooks ahead of the Government's expected announcement later this evening, at which a raft of strict measures 'Level 3 alert' measures are due to be placed on Dublin.
