Gardai launch appeal as man is missing in Abbeyleix, Co Laois for days

The public have been asked to help in the search for a man who is missing in Co Laois.

Robert Tynan, 31, hasn't been seen in his hometown of Abbeyleix since Thursday, January 30.

He is described as being five feet and eight inches tall, has blue eyes and is of slim build.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí wish to seek the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Robert Tynan, 31 years old, who is missing from his home in Abbeyleix, Co Laois. Robert was last seen on the 30th January 2020 in Abbeyleix.

"Robert is described as being 5’8’’ in height, has fair hair, blue eyes and of slim build.

"Anyone who has seen Robert or who can assist in locating him is asked to contact Portlaoise Garda Station on 057 8674100, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station."
