Gardai issue renewed appeal in tragic death of pensioner following car crash on Leopardstown Road

A renewed witness appeal has been issued in the tragic death of a pensioner following traffic collision on the Leopardstown Road.

The 70-year-old sustained life-threatening injuries after colliding with a car on October 16 at 10.10 pm.

He later passed away from his injuries.

The incident happened at the pedestrian traffic lights on the Leopardstown Road.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardai in Cabinteely are appealing for anyone who was in the area of the Leopardstown Road between the hours of 10pm to 10.20pm on October 16th, who may have seen the incident or drivers who may have dash cam footage, to contact Cabinteely Garda Station on (01) 6665400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station."
