Gardai issue appeal over murder of Dublin teen Raonaid Murray

Gardai have made a renewed appeal for information on the murder of teenager Raonaid Murray in 1999.

The 17-year-old’s body was found close to her home in Glenageary, South Dublin, shortly after she was last seen at around 11.20pm on September 3 when she made her way home from Dun Laoghaire.

Despite officers investigating the case taking more than 4,500 witness statements, no prime suspect has ever been identified.

A Garda statement said: “If any person has any information which could assist gardai in identifying a motive for the murder of Raonaid we would appeal for your immediate assistance.”
