Gardai issue appeal in locating 71-year-old Dun Laoghaire pensioner who is believed to have left Ireland on a boat

Gardai have issued an appeal in locating the whereabouts of a pensioner in Dun Laoghaire.

71-year-old James Meaney has been missing from his home since Saturday.

He is described as 5' 7", medium build with brown eyes and grey hair.

He was last seen wearing  a green vest, striped shirt, green jacket and black/grey trousers.

James is believed to have left Ireland on a boat via Rosslare Harbour to Wales.

A spokeswoman for the gardai said: “Anyone with information is asked to contact Gardaí in Dun Laoghaire on 01-6665000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.”
