Gardai investigating sudden death of woman in her 40s in Carlow

Gardai are investigating the sudden death of a woman in her 40s in Carlow.

The woman passed away at Montgomery Street at approximately 1.50pm on Thursday afternoon.

A garda spokesperson told The Irish Daily Mirror: "A sudden death occurred yesterday afternoon on Montgomery Street, Carlow at approximately 1.50p.m.Thursday 10th October, 2019.

"The body of the woman, 40 years, was removed to Waterford University Hospital where a post mortem will be conducted."

Gardai say the course of the investigation will be determined by the results of the post-mortem.
