Gardai have launched an investigation after a crash in south Dublin saw two people rushed to St. James’ Hospital for treatment.
The incident occurred in Rathmines at approximately 5.15 am on Wednesday morning and involved two cars.
Both drivers involved in the crash were taken to the hospital after their vehicles collided on Grove Road.
According to our colleagues at Dublin Live, emergency services and the Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene as well as an emergency tender - which carries extra equipment to deal with collisions.
A statement from An Garda Siochana said: "Gardaí are investigating a road traffic collision that occurred in Rathmines, Dublin 6 yesterday morning, 1st September 2021 at approximately 5.15 am.
"Two vehicles collided on Grove Road. The drivers of both cars were taken to St. James’ Hospital."
Investigations are ongoing.
