Gardai are investigating the alleged sexual assault of a woman in Cork city overnight.
An alleyway between Brian Boru Street and the Lower Glanmire Road is sealed off and being manned by gardai.
No public access is currently allowed.
Gardai say they are investigating an alleged sexual assault of a woman in the early hours of the morning.
A garda spokesperson told CorkBeo: "Gardaí are investigating an alleged sexual assault of a female that is reported to have occurred in the Brian Boru Street area of Cork in the early hours of 15/8/19.
'A scene is currently preserved for a technical examination. Investigations are ongoing."
