Gardai investigating after vandals smash coffee shop windows in South Dublin

A South Dublin coffee shop is open for business as usual today despite a horrible attack in the early hours of the morning.

Staff in Insomnia in Ballybrack were left shocked when they turned up to work to see almost all of cafe's front windows smashed.

It's understood a nearby garage was also damaged by vandals.

The well-known coffee joint managed to clear the pieces and open for business while gardai have confirmed they're investigating.

A spokesman said: "Gardaí in Shankill are investigating an incident of criminal damage which occurred on Thursday 17th October 2019 at approximately 1.12am on the Wyattville Road. Windows were damaged at the property."
