An investigation was underway after a pony was stolen in Co Tipperary.
Gardai say the horse is a "therapy pony" for the owner's daughter who has cerebral palsy.
Officers in Cahir launched an investigation into the theft which happened nearer to Clonmel. The animal is eight years old and is microchipped.
A garda tweet said: "Gardaí in Cahir are investigating the theft of this pony taken from Clonmel on June 29.
"The pony is a therapy pony for the owner's daughter who has cerebral palsy and is a wheelchair user.
"The pony is eight years old and microchipped."
But gardai later updated their Twitter page to announce that the horse had been found in Cork.
"Update - Good news in the search for this missing pony. Recovered safely by neighbouring Gardaí in Cork today.
"The owners are currently on route to collect their pony from Mayfield Garda Station. We would like to thank the everyone for retweeting!"
