Gardai investigating after child allegedly thrown from bridge in Dublin

Gardai are investigating claims of a boy allegedly being thrown from a bridge near a Dublin beach.

It was claimed that the child was flung from the Wooden Bridge in Clontarf last Sunday at 4pm. It is alleged that he was thrown into the water.

No official complaint has been made to the gardai but officers are investigating the claims. There were no injuries reported.

The Wooden Bridge runs from Dollymount Strand to Bull Island on Dublin's northside.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardai are making inquiries into reports of an incident at Wooden Bridge, Dollymount, Dublin on the afternoon of 14th August 2022. There are no reports of injuries at this time."
