Gardai are investigating the second stabbing incident in as many days in Cork city.
A man in his 30s received a number of stab wounds on Glenryan Road, Gurranabraher at 11pm last night.
He was rushed to Cork University Hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A man, 20s, has been arrested in connection with the assault.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are investigating an assault incident that occurred on Glenryan Road, Gurranabraher on the 16th May 2019 at approximately 11pm.

"A man in his 30s received a number of apparent stab wounds and was brought to Cork University Hospital. His injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
"The scene is currently preserved for technical examination.
"Gardaí arrested a man in 20s at the scene and he was brought to Gurranabraher Garda Station where he is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984."
