Gardai investigate late-night 'petrol bomb' attack at house in Drogheda, Co Louth

A "petrol bomb" was thrown through a downstairs window of a house in Drogheda, Co Louth overnight.

Gardai were called after a fire at the property in the St Laurence's Park area of the town at around 1.10am on Tuesday.

A spokesperson said: "It appears a petrol bomb or similar object was thrown through a downstairs window. Gardaí and emergency services attended scene.

"Small fire was extinguished and no injuries were sustained.

"Investigations are ongoing."
