Garda are investigating after an alleged attack on a young girl by three other kids all under the age of ten.
The allegation was made to gardai in the last two weeks.
It happened at the end of June 2019.
It is claimed that the girl, aged five, went with three boys aged between seven and ten to a shed in a derelict house and was assaulted there.
Gardai are investigating a report that the young child was struck several times with a stick but managed to get away from the other kids, RTE reports.
The young girl wasn't seriously injured but was brought for medical treatment and has been traumatised by the alleged attack.
Her parents got in contact with the gardai.

The incident is being looked into by a team of gardai from a specialist local unit, the Divisional Protective Services Unit.
Detectives are waiting to carry out detailed interviews with all four children.
They have preliminary reports on the case but haven't fully established all the facts yet.
The case has also been referred to Tusla and the Child and Family Agency, RTE news reports.
A garda spokesman said: "An Garda Siochana are investigating an alleged incident which occurred at the end of June 2019.
"An Garda Siochana is making no further comment.
"Due to the young ages of all parties involved An Garda Siochana request that the matter is reported responsibly and sensitively."
