Gardai investigate as man seriously injured after being hit by car while out walking in Co Donegal

A man in his 50s is being treated for serious injuries in hospital after a road collision over the weekend.

The man was out walking in Letterleague, Co Donegal, when he was struck by a car at around 7.30pm on Sunday evening.

Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident.

The pedestrian was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

No one else was reported as suffering injuries in the crash.

A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic collision at Letterleague, Co. Donegal, at approximately 7:30pm, Sunday 10th October 2021.
