A 40 year-old cyclist has died after being found unconscious on the side of the road in Co Cork.
The man collapsed on the side of the road while out cycling in the Watergrasshill area.
He was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Gardai are treating the incident as sudden death and foul play is not suspected.
A Garda spokesperson said: " Gardaí in Mayfield are treating as a sudden death an incident involving a cyclist at Watergrasshill, Cork earlier today.

"The alarm was raised when shortly after 12 noon a man aged in his 40s collapsed while out cycling on the R616 at Bucklearys Cross. Ambulance services and Gardaí attended at the scene.
"The man was taken by Ambulance to Cork University Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Foul play is not suspected at this time and a post-mortem will determine the course of a Garda investigation in the case.
"A file will be prepared for the Coroner."
