The bodies of a man and a woman in their 40s have been found at a house in Co Cavan.
The discovery was made at around 8pm last night in Cloverhill, near Belturbet.
Gardai were called to the scene on Sunday evening and are investigating "all circumstances" surrounding the deaths.
It is understood that the man and woman had not been seen in a number of days, RTE reports.
A post mortem is due to take place later today.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the unexplained deaths of a man and woman at a house in the Cloverhill area of Belturbet, Co. Cavan.
"Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene on the evening of February 7.
The man and woman, both aged in their 40s, were discovered deceased in the house.
"The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
"A post mortem is scheduled for later today, the results of which will determine the course of the Garda investigations."
