Gardai rushed to the scene after the body of a woman was pulled from the water in Co Kerry over the weekend.
The incident happened at the Brewery Road on Saturday morning.
Officers and emergency services attended the scene at around 10.20am.
The body of a woman was removed from the water and taken to the County Mortuary in Tralee.
A post mortem is set to take place in the coming days that will determine the course of the investigation.

However, it is believed that the incident is not currently being treated as suspicious.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí in Tralee were alerted by ambulance control to an incident of a body in the water at Brewery Road, Tralee, Co. Kerry on the morning of Saturday 7th August, 2021 at approximately 10.20am.
"Gardaí attended the scene and the body of female was removed from the water and taken to the County Mortuary, Tralee where a post mortem was due to be conducted. The results of the post mortem will determine the course of the investigation.
"Investigations are ongoing."
